Did you know…we can provide custom seat dump on a Raz-AP/SP?
The primary reason for seat dump is to provide more pelvic stability and help prevent the user from sliding forward.
We can provide seat dump in two ways:
- The front of the seat can be elevated from ½” to 3” (not by using the standard seat spacers). Our new custom spacer design accommodates for the compound angle that results when the front of the seat is elevated over the 45° front seat support tubes. When the front of the seat is elevated there needs to be wedges installed between the underside of the seat and the pan brackets in order to prevent interference between the pan and the front seat brackets.*
- The front caster extensions can be custom modified to raise the front of the chair while keeping the casters perpendicular to the ground. Typically, we won’t elevate the front more than 2” due to rearward stability concerns.
*Depending on the configuration, rear anti-tippers may be required.
