For some clients, transferring from a wheelchair into or out of a rehab shower commode chair can sometimes be a difficult or dangerous process. After portions of a hygiene program, such as taking a shower, surfaces of home medical equipment, such as a rehab shower chair can be slippery. In order to minimize risk, Raz has created a new accessory to facilitate client transfers, the locking transfer handles. The handles provide additional security during client transfers by providing more area for the user to grasp while transferring into and out of their Raz rehab shower commode chair. The extra-long foam grip provides additional comfort and transfer stability for the client. The transfer handles also feature a locking feature. This prevents any possible rotation of the chair while moving in or out of the chair, thus making for a safer transfer.
The locking transfer handles can be removed from the Raz chair when they are not needed or in use. The handles have been designed specifically to allow for deep seat depth. Raz Design has created a transfer handle that provides stability and comfort in hopes of making one aspect of transferring a little bit easier.
