The lower portion of the back frames on all Raz bariatric (RazBari) chairs are angled rearward. This, combined with Tension-Adjustable Back Upholstery, create additional room at the rear to accommodate the gluteal shelf.

This feature allows the client to be more appropriately positioned in... the seat, resulting in reduced caster loading and optimization of maneuverability.

The Raz-AT600 tilts to provide safer mechanical lift transfers. The tilted seat surface allows for the client to be lowered further rearward onto the seat. As well, the slope makes it easier to reposition the client rearward until they are fully onto the seat surface.
